About Me

I am a California native raised in the Napa Valley and Los Gatos, forever grateful to be surrounded by the Bay's amazing culinary delights. My interest in Nutrition stems back all the way to elementary school. when I saw the "strawberries in goop" in the cafeteria buffet, and my gut told me that my school should provide a healthier option rather than syrup-covered squishy produce. Since then, I've dedicated my life to Nutrition!

My interests lie in many facets of Nutrition and Food: Policy, Marketing, Food Service, Eating Disorders, Business, Sustainability, Corporate Wellness, Student Health, and more-- the versatility of the Nutrition field excites me to jump into any dimension of the workforce. I plan to pursue my RD credential. taking me one step closer to providing health and well-being resources and education to all! 

Study Abroad: Japan

The summer of 2017, I went on the culinary adventure of a lifetime. During my time studying at Ritsumeikan University near Kyoto, where I studied Structure and Function of Biomolecules, I sought out to taste and experience all the amazing food Japan had to offer, and was a perfect opportunity for me to practice my food photography. Below are pictures of soba noodles served streaming from a river, Totoro cream puffs, treats for the deer of Nara, snapshots of my campus lunch, and more quirky dining experiences I captured. I will surely visit Japan again!
