Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics: 

Student Liaison, 2018-2019

During my time as Liaison on the Northern Area Region for the California Academy, I helped coordinate the Annual Dietetic Symposium! It was a great experience to work with other board members and coordinators of Dietetic Internships across the country.

The Public Policy Workshop held in Sacramento sparked my enthusiasm and passion for Policy and Advocacy! I was trained on current issues in Nutrition and Public Health, in addition to learning how to become the voice of nutrition that Congress trusts. I spoke to Senate and Assembly Members about the importance of RD Licensure and Malnutrition Prevention.
